Baby Signs® Class Descriptions

Baby Signs® Parent Workshop
This 90-minute class provides parents with an overview of the Baby Signs® Program including the many benefits of signing, basic "How Tos" for teaching babies to sign, and many of the most useful signs through games, songs, and entertaining activities.

Sign, Say & Play™
A series of six theme-based classes generally offered over a 6-week period, with 45-minute sessions designed for parents and babies to attend together. A total of 37 useful signs are taught through fun songs, books, and activities. In addition, parents learn simple ways to support their baby's intellectual development-tips drawn from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn's second parenting book, Baby Minds: Brain Building Games Your Baby Will Love.

More Sign, Say & Play™
These classes are an extension of our Sign, Say & Play® classes and follow the familiar Sign, Say & Play ® format with fun songs, games, and activities that introduce 36 additional signs. In addition, parents learn simple ways to support their baby's emotional development, tips drawn from Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn's third parenting book, Baby Hearts: A Guide to Giving Your Child an Emotional Head Start.

Baby Signs® Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Training
The goal of this program is to help child care programs of any size-big or small-begin enjoying the benefits that come from incorporating signing into daily interactions between children and teachers. Specifically, three levels of training are offered-each lasting 2 to 3 hours-with games, songs, and activities liberally sprinkled through the sessions to keep teachers engaged and excited as they learn.

Hello and Welcome!

Well, now that it's official, I am happily announcing my new venture, Baby Signs® by Kacy. I will continue working on my SendOutCards business, as that is creating a wonderful residual income that will support me and my family. But I have found a wonderful opportunity that combines one of my greatest loves (Teaching) and one of my favorite skill sets (Sign Language).

I will be heading up workshops and classes - teaching parents and their little ones how to communicate using signs and gestures long before the baby can talk!

There are studies and research that correlate the use of sign language as a toddler to a more advanced vocabulary of spoken words as they get older.

My first classes will be finalized in the next couple of weeks once I receive my certification, but wanted to be able to take requests and suggestions while I'm in the planning stages... I'm located in Epping, NH and will gladly travel to Exeter, Portsmouth, Hampton, Raymond, Manchester, and Plaistow on a regular basis. The greater Boston area is also an option if I can get a good group together for a workshop or class series.

If you have any suggestions for locations to hold the classes, or a request for a class in your area, please let me know!
